I would give red permanent artifact steal and also try out some mana dorks. Probably ones that give any colour of mana because red is the colour of creativity right

I would move white out of green's slice of the pie and strengthen green's reign over it.

White would get small, efficient creatures.
Green would get large, efficient creatures.

White would get small pump spells (focused on defense).
Green would get large pump spells (focused on offense & defense).

White would not get token generation outside of 1/1 birds with flying and 1/1 soldiers.
Green would get token generation of all kinds (as it makes sense in the pie - no fliers, obviously).

White would move more toward abilities like Silence and Pacifism.
Green would continue to have fight and bite.

White would retain life gain on spells, but move away from having it on creatures (outside of lifelink).
Green would gain access to lifelink and only have creature-dependent life gain.

White would not get artifact destruction - only enchantment destruction (to mirror red).
Green would be the only color to have both artifact and enchantment destruction.

There's probably more delineation that I would do, but this is all off the top.

I'd remove Trample from White completely instead of it just being a heavily lacking fifth. I'd make lifelinkntertiary in Green. There are three artifact destruction colors but only two enchantment destruction colors so I'd give blue or black enchantment destruction. Not a chane to color pie, but I'd make White's tertiary fight a bit more common.

I would erase the entire color pie and rewrite it as four colors. Red, Blue, Cyan, and Orange-Purple.

Make red the secondary cqrd draw color, and give it more artifact mechanics.
Green should have access to all creature keywords including flying.
White should be changed with stuff.

Explain flavor of this?

FWIW, I could totally see red getting mana dorks in an alternate reality.
In that reality, green would have only fast mana and would also be the cloning color.

Pump spells are naturally suited to offence because it's easier to keep mana open on your own turn and because you need it to break board stalls. Defensive pump spells just slow down the game. Also, more colours remove artifacts than enchantments because more artifacts can be played in decks since they are colorless.

Only things off the top of my head are iceberg back in blue, harmonise back in green, and let red have some life gain spells maybe

Take stealing totally out of black, except stealing from graves.

Emotion gives insight so you draw cards. Either way the color pie should be more mechanical than flavor based like it is now. Which imo is part of why it feels unbalanced at times

First thing I would do is change it to color pie.

Removing green isn't an option, is it.

At first I mused about moving lifelink from white into green, partly because flavoring lifelink in white is really hard. I mean, what the hell does it mean? A vampire with lifelink is sucking the life out of whatever it deals damage, but why is it that you gain life after a Baneslayer Angel hits your opponent? The best I can come up with is some ultra-abstract thing about boosting morale or something.

But then I kinda gave up on that, because green and black would make very very similar use of lifelink. It is actually more interesting if white has it because white and black make different use of the ability, flavor justification be damned.

After that there isn't really much that I would change. Unconditional tutoring should be blue. I'd also do small things to show how colors use the same effect in different ways: I'd prefer if white gained life in small amounts but steadily, whereas green gained it in large bursts; I'd like white's mass removal hit everything unconditionally whereas black's allowed the caster to let some of his own things survive; white should reanimate only small things en mass, but black should be free to reanimate big creatures; I dislike red's creature-only burn because it is too close to -X/-X effects; the list goes on.

Remove two colors, because with 3 colors the game becomes less complex for beginners.

Black gets uncounterable a lot more. Specifically for instants and sorceries. With no increased cost.

Black also gets land find on par with cultivate.

Black gets super fog that prevents creatures from attacking at all that turn. At cmc 1 and common. Darkness costs a lot.

Black gets to destroy all nonland permanents with a card similar to gaze of granite except it causes sacrifice and costs .

Gogo deck surgery upgraaade! Yeaaaah budday!

Black should get creature tutoring, with a flavor of conscription/extortion

White loses their stranglehold on nonland removal, instead augmenting the other four colors by "exiling" instead of "destroying"

Blue gets enchantment removal (i.e. being able to "see through your deception" ... though that may be using a different definition of Enchantments as opposed to WotC's).

Black gets Crack the Earth effects to represent spitefulness of having something you can't.

Red ... needs something other than burn, but I'm unsure what.

Green gets Flying again, but not ones designed for attacking (a la Birds of Paradise).
