Kelly Digges and I need questions from the audience for [REDACTED]! Please ask your burning questions about Dominarian history and about Dominarian geography! If you need to provide a little context for your question, feel free to do so.

Your question is more likely to be seen if you respond to this tweet, but I will try to check this forum too:

1) What exactly finally happened to Corondor?

2) How long was the reign of the Primevals? (eg Darigaaz, Rith, etc)

3) While on the topic of dragons, what actually was the deal with Numot and co? Were they alternative history versions of the primevals as their designs suggest? We've heard it said that wasn't the case, but...

4) How successful has Radha been at integrating the elves into Keld?

5) When the heck did Hazezon Tamar live? We've never been able to properly place that on a timeline.

6) Curious about literally anything relating to the Carthelion lineage in the new canon.

7) Can you share anything with us about Amrou and the Dominarian Kithkin?

And I might think of more if given time...

1) Are the Soltari, Thalakos, and Dauthi still torn between reality?

2) Has Jodah been doing absolutely nothing? He didn't seem to really care about the end of everything if I remember TS block correctly.

3) Where is Croag?

0) Echoing questions about the Shadow Races & Carthalion line

1) What is the current status of Sarpadia? It seemed to be less than total Thrull turf in Time Spiral; are there still 'people' (Humans, elves, orcs, goblins, or civilized Thrulls/homarids/thallids) living there?

2) Where's Jodah and what has he been up to since the Mending? (another echo I know)

3) What was the Time of the Primevals relative to the Time of the Elder Dragons?

4) How's Yavimaya these days?

5) On what continent is/was the kingdom of Liliana's birth located? Is it anywhere we know?

6) How is there still/once more a Cabal after what happened to Otaria in the Time Spiral era (lifeless salt continent)? Did they survive somewhere on or off Otaria or did Belzenok resurrect the ideology to serve him?

7) For that matter, how are other old organizations and faiths doing?
Leitbur Worship?
Farrelites?
Ebon Hand/Tourach Worship?
Serra Worship?
Freyalise Worship?

8) Is the Mana Rig in working order to create new (uncharged?) Powerstones?

Going back awhile, Brady told us that the thrulls had basically never stopped enhancing themselves and they're essentially superthrulls now. The only thing keeping the world safe from them is that they literally don't know there's more to the world than Sarpadia.

kinda echoing this, but unwilling to pay the mana cost.
It'd be funny if it was just Kuberr messing with people again.

...come to think of it, while Karona was AWFUL, the story of the three wizard kings was about the only decent piece of worldbuilding from Otaria.

8) Where the hell is Vesuva anyway?

9) What's Vodalia been up to for the past.... 400 years?

Wow, I didn't see THAT coming . First of all, thanks for inviting us to the party, Ethan (especially since I'm not on twitter)! I guess I look forward to [REDACTED] then.

Spoiler

Whew, I guess that's what 10+ years of longing for more Dominaria look like... :tired:

Two more things:

- Who are those Skin Witches in the Caligo Forest anyway?

- Is Kaya from Urborg?

10) There's been much speculation regarding Crovax and his familial home as it relates to Lord Windgrace. Anything that might be worth mentioning in that regard?

- Where were Orim and Ertai from originally? (I know Ertai studied at Tolaria and Orim at the Argivian University, but where were they born?)

- Which desert were Karli of the Singing Moon from the Greensleeves trilogy and her people from? Was it the Erg Mirab?

- Is there any background to the 'Singing Moon' part of Karli's name? (It certainly sounds cool as hell!)

- Can you tell us more about the history of the Samite Order? Where/when/why/by who was it founded etc.?

By the way, Ethan, can you tell us when [REDACTED] is roughly going to happen?

(Insert "Too long!" as my automatic response to your response ;))

I tweeted a few questions when I saw this pop up on Twitter.

Are you guys gonna write an article with your Q&A session?

I would like to know about the story and legacy of Gwendlyn Di Corci. Her flavor text says she was from, or at least operated out of, Urborg, and I would like to know what the canon story with her is.

For that matter, can we get any info on the legends from legends that either has never been previously released or that you are adding in the future?

I mean, someone (I can't remember who, MaRo maybe?) said that almost every legendary creature from Legends was from a DND campaign of the development team who made the set so getting anything concrete is probably going to be tough.

Cool! But please tell me you didn't just answer two questions per episode..? :paranoid:

It's good to hear you guys specifically paid attention to using Dominaria's original iconic jinns instead of sphinxes. The history theme and general direction of the worldbuilding you talked about also turned out great, and I agree with the reasoning behind it. I'm happy there's still a clear element of classical medieval fantasy with knights and castles and wizards (also nicely reflected in the respective tribes) in the foreground with the crazy artifact stuff from the past in the background.

I don't quite agree with Kelly that the set is broad enough, though. As he admits, there isn't a single viashino in this set, and no nantuko, cephalids, dwarfs and other races and creatures (and obviously not enough kavu). The same is true for locations, and that's just talking about things and places we've actually seen in the cardgame at some point, not to mention stuff from the books and comics. I also would have liked for the five new incarnations of Tolaria to have more distinct identities. We don't even see the one that's supposedly under water. At least Kelly made it sound like more Dominaria is on the horizon in the not so far future, so I guess there's still hope for Magic...

Yeah, two questions per episode, though some of them are multi-part questions.

There were definitely some things and places we couldn't fit into the set that we'd liked to have, as well as limitations on how much concepting we could do (though the world guide ended up being twice as large as any previous ones!). Red was especially pinched, as it had the most races and the Goblin tribal theme meant that we had to have critical mass of Goblins.
