We have already seen most of it anyway. Inferno Hellion is cool and there are lots of nice reprints.

I haven't counted, but does it seem like the fraction of the set that is reprints is lower than usual?

Yeah, seems very low. Barely more than. But I see the one card they needed made it.

Sure, but those are rares and flash is something necessary for their effects to work the way intended, so I didn't find those weird at first. A common with nothing but flash is something else.

Technically Black already had Flash as all colors get it. But apparently they're letting it split secondary Flash with Green to cover up the Blue/Black Gap. Well when that isn't being Flying. Kinda funny how Blue/Black has two overlap mechanics that are also main overlap between Blue and another color.

In shadowmoor they used flash as uw overlap a few times, and surprise blockers do seem white, though I guess that by official color pie white wasn't supposed to be any better than any other color? This could be good for black, I remember using Offalsnout more as a surprise blocker than for its exile ability

Flash could easily be five or four color.

I would say there are three keywords in MTG that are mechanically hard-wired in rules - Flash, Flying and First Strike - and Flash is probably the most important of them all, so it deserves to be in more colors, like Flying.

Flavorfully, each color has a reason for Flash.
Mechanically - each except red.

Buuuuuut when I made just a couple of black Flash cards for my little set, people got all : (

Lots of cool stuff more my changeling deck. All that dragon tribal, with a walker, a legend, Spit flame and a mana rock that care about dragons and Liliana's Contract that can never go in there because that's just way too cheesy.

All the new walkers have really mechanically tight designs. Each ability synergizes with the others to achieve a particular goal and theme. Except Vivien Reid, who does neither. Not a great debut.
