I think Boros is the place for equipment. Weapons Trainer is a good body all on its own, a 3/2 for 2 is nice, and Relic Seeker can tutor up the weapons. There are a few nice werewolves in red too, like Geier Reach Bandit and Kessig Forgemaster, that can transform Neglected Heirloom along with Avacyn, Hanweir and Militia Captain.

I have now played a bunch of games against the AI with this deck. It's a deck that wants to be fast but isn't, Stone Quarry and Needle Spires drag down the speed of the deck by too much. I never managed to flip Hanweir Battlements/Hanweir Garrison. That being said Hanweir Garrison works well with both Hanweir Militia Captain and Thalia's Lieutenant.

The problem with Westvale Abbey is that it's either a win more card or too slow to turn the tide. The times I could flip it I would have won the same turn anyway (with the creatures that I would be sacreficing to it), or too slow in turns of a token machine.

@Rok thanks for trying out the deck. The mana in the first version of the deck was terrible, as you noticed. I have removed one Abbey for a basic, gone heavier to Red, and increased the total land count to 24. Probably two of the Stone Quarries need to be swapped out also for a little more speed. I have played a handful of pvp games at low rank and I have won all of them. I need to test more to get a better feel for the right balance.

I have made a lot of changes that I believe make it lot better. In general you want to attack aggressively and hold up combat tricks that force your opponent to make tough decisions:
-Attack aggressively and dare your opponents to block when they know you have Ride Down
-If they choose not to block, use Titan's Strength. If the attacker is Iroas's Champion, you hit for 10!
-Either Titan's Strength or Rush of Adrenaline is enough to flip Lone Rider

I am thinking about trying Impetuous Devils, not sure what I would cut

Without having tried this list, I think you can cut a land or two in favour of one-drops. Your Curve is low and the deck should be able to function for the most part on 2-3 lands.

Boros not quite humans deck

Its a madness deck that tries to respect the 1 drop. Its still a test build, so some cards are in only to see if they work, but the idea is to drop early threats, don't over extend and kill anything bigger than your guys, while you boost your own.

Creature(20)
1x Anointer of Champions (testing her, I'm not a big fan, but like someone said, its good with always watching)
2x Expedition Envoy (with no sylvan Rangers to chump, the Envoy may get better)
1x Kytheon, Hero of Akros (same goes for Kytheon, only problem is when you want to attack with everyone with Gideon on the board.
3x Insolent Neonate (this card has it all for 1 mana, also a good candidate for auras)
2x Lone Rider (still undecided on the Rider, but flipping him is brutal)
2x Selfless Spirit (this is like a get out jail free card, and it can smashed a bit face too)
2x Ravenous Bloodseeker (madness enabler that has actually performed pretty well)
2x Bygone Bishop (evasion, some draw, not sure if its agressive enough)
2x Hanweir Garrison (if unopposed, this can just get out of control)
2x Thalia, Heretic Cathar (so, so brutal against other aggro decks, especially hasty vampires...lol)
1x Gisela, the Broken Blade (awesome, Lone Rider flipping, curve topper)

Instant(10)
2x Titan's Strength (Wish I had room for more)
3x Lightning Axe (if its bigger than your guys, kill it. This can get most of those)
1x Ride Down (problem is, if your playing boros and you suicide attack with a creature, a smart opponent isn't gonna block. Sure you do the damage, but if what you wanted was to kill a threat, its sometimes a no go)
4x Fiery Temper (Lightning Bolt...)

Sorcery(3)
2x Declaration in Stone (there's a whole thread about this card...)
1x Avacyn's Judgment (twinbolt/madness fireball)

Enchantment(5)
3x Senseless Rage (this is good with madness. Instant speed, permanent buff and if your guy gets killed, its not really 2 for 1, because its a free card you discarded)
2x Always Watching (White doesn't leave home without it)

Planeswalker(2)
1x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar (walkers are backup plans if things go long. Powerful in any case)
1x Nahiri, the Harbinger (another madness enabler that can get rid of annoying tutelage or opposing always watchings or tapped creatures and can ultimate to Gisela to get some life or a killing blow)

Land(20)
6x Plains
8x Mountain
2x Needle Spires
2x Clifftop Retreat
2x Hanweir Battlements

The idea is there, its make Rdw madness aggro into a boros deck. The few times I played it, it just destroyed my opponents, but then 1-10 meta isn't exactly competitive...
Opinions and suggestions are appreciated.

I been messing around with Boros decks but I can't seem to get one to work well enough.

Does anyone have a Boros Aura decklist? It seems that it a strong deck but I haven't found anything on it. I find the weapons deck but not the auras deck. Also will appreciate a Borros allies deck as well. Thank you for your time.

The list looks a bit off; it seems like you're trying to play a too expensive game for an aggro gameplan. Also, looking at your lands I have to be a bit confused that you run Stone Quarry, but neither Clifftop Retreat nor Needle Spires.

Here's my take at it. Please note that this is untested for the current meta, but it seems to not have performed completely atrocious for me. Also, this very much seems like it is still WIP; so feel free to exchange cards.

Creatures (25)
1 x Kytheon, Hero of Akros

2 x Hanweir Militia Captain
3 x Lone Rider
2 x Relic Seeker
2 x Selfless Spirit
2 x Thalia's Lieutenant
3 x Weapons Trainer

2 x Thalia, Heretic Cathar
3 x Firemantle Mage
2 x Hanweir Garrison
3 x Iroas's Champion

Non-creature spells (13)
1 x Stoneforge Masterwork
1 x Neglected Heirloom

3 x Ride Down

2 x Always Watching
2 x Collective Effort
1 x Slayer's Plate

1 x Angelic Destiny
1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
1 x Nahiri, the Harbinger

Lands (22)
7 x Plains
5 x Mountain
2 x Needle Spires
2 x Clifftop Retreat
2 x Hanweir Battlements
4 x Stone Quarry

At first glance, the deck looks pretty good.

The one Vehicle I would replace here is Cultivator's Caravan; you don't seem to want the additional mana too often. I'd replace them with Renegade Freighters; one less Crew cost as well as Trample are huge.

A card I'm not in love with in your strategy is Harnessed Lightning; I think the deck should generally have better removal options.

I'll maybe go more into Detail when I get home.

Harnessed Lighting is one of the best removal options Red has right now, I'd say.

ConspicuousFlower, I respectfully disagree. Harnessed Lighting too expensive, and too conditional.

This is my build. It's mostly similar. I run only 20 lands, though as you never need more than 2 in your opening hand. They're also all fast lands, with the exception of a pair of spires.

I usually don't like going that low on lands because my bad luck is legendary, but so far your list has played pretty well.

I do miss Ride Down though.

I'm happy to hear of your experiences playing this deck, mate! Ride Down seems fun, and I'd love to run it, but card slots come at a premium for me, sadly. )-=

What I like about Ride Down in this deck is that it has much more synergy with big fat vehicles that can hit for a **** of damage than the usual Boros Decks, which are usually weenies that can't really make much use of it.

Alas, space is tight, but it can be tested out.

:r::w:KLD Vehicles - Answer the Call

The meaning behind the deck name is sort of how I envision and play the deck. Let me take you on an imaginary journey to Magic land where a large handful of pilots are hanging out at the local bar/pub/cafe/bistro. All are enjoying their favorite beverages and reminiscing over their past conquests. Each pilot embellishing those memories into tall tales. When all of a sudden the &h!7 goes down (this could be whatever you can come up with - storyline: Tezzart throws down// imagination: tanks and aircraft start bombing the city// too much imagination: the hot pants factory has been attacked and that's really upsetting to the average citizen) and all the pilots run out to see what's happening. Without hesitation, they rush head long into battle doing everything they can to fight back the threat. In many cases this is more than enough to solve the problem and they all return to the saloon/tavern/parlor/cabaret to add this story to the never ending web of myths and legends. There are times though that the confrontation will require a greater commitment. The pilots retreat back to the inn/ night club/ gin mill/ lounge to rally support (this could be whatever you can come up with - storyline: Planeswalkers and Vehicles// imagination: military with arsenal// too much imagination: LOTS of thread and some sewing needles. There's going to be a lot of mending to do!) so that they can return in force to vanquish their foes. When they do, it's a hard fought but triumphant and glory filled victory. One that will go down in song at the alehouse/ taproom/ hall/ salon for many years to come.

All boobery aside, the deck is an aggro platform with some 'late game' legs (which is just a byproduct of including vehicles). The idea is to beat down with early threats to pressure life total and win the race. If your opponent or your draws don't let you get there, then you aim to finish the game off with vehicles and walkers. In a goldfish match the deck can win by turn 4 on the play. One sequence I just had was T1 Kytheon, Hero of Akros, T2 Toolcraft Exemplar, T3 Depala, Pilot Exemplar, T4 Fleetwheel Cruiser for a total of 21 damage overall (T2 = 2dmg, T3 = 4dmg with Depala played precombat, T4 = 15dmg). Realistically though you're aiming to put them on the back foot early and have them scrambling.

Pilots (21)
2 x Toolcraft Exemplar
1 x Kytheon, Hero of Akros
3 x Inventor's Apprentice
2 x Selfless Spirit
2 x Speedway Fanatic
3 x Veteran Motorist
2 x Thopter Engineer
1 x Pia Nalaar
1 x Thalia, Heretic Cathar
2 x Depala, Pilot Exemplar
2 x Pia and Kiran Nalaar

Removal (5)
2 x Skywhaler's Shot
1 x Fragmentize
2 x Declaration in Stone

Win Buttons (3)
1 x Gideon, Ally of Zendikar
1 x Chandra, Torch of Defiance
1 x Nahiri, the Harbinger

Sweet Rides (7)
2 x Smuggler's Copter
2 x Renegade Freighter
2 x Fleetwheel Cruiser
1 x Skysovereign, Consul Flagship

Go Go Juice (24)
10 x Plains
2 x Needle Spires
10 x Mountain
2 x Clifftop Retreat

Card discussion and synergies:

Kytheon, Hero of Akros - there are enough creatures at the right end of the curve to make this potential walker worth it. If you flip it, don't undervalue it's +1. Removing blockers for big swings are worth it and there are some decent sized vehicles that can block for removal. The card also draws a lot of attention which is always welcome. It does clash with Gideon, Ally of Zendikar at times but that's a fine problem to have and you're probably in a good situation when you have it.

Toolcraft Exemplar/ Inventor's Apprentice/ Speedway Fanatic/ Thopter Engineer - great little beaters for fast starts and can crew quite well too. Having some haste options always helps the beat down plan too.

Selfless Spirit - can add to the fast starts but can also keep your board in play for crewing

Veteran Motorist/Depala, Pilot Exemplar - Both good crew options but more importantly great for set up/ draw/ filter. Remember that Depala can attack or crew to trigger her X ability. Her ability is fantastic for using up leftover mana that would normally be wasted or it can allow you to dig deep for gas. Also consider that her ability works well with the scry on Skywhaler's Shot and Veteran Motorist. With the card filter on Smuggler's Copter, the +1 on Nahiri, the Harbinger and the +1 on Chandra, Torch of Defiance, you should be digging through your deck well.

Pia Nalaar/ Pia and Kiran Nalaar - value cards. Pia Nalaar's first :1::r: ability is repeatable but the 2nd ability is again where it's at. Like Kytheon, the less threats they have to stop your swing, the farther you get ahead in the race. Crew a vehicle with a token, sac it to remove a blocker and swing for wins. Pia and Kiran Nalaar shouldn't need much explanation as it's been rocking Duels since the game was released. Just remember the ability is any artifact. Both these cards can sac their way to wins.

Thalia, Heretic Cathar - Yet another way to remove blockers and help shift tempo in your favor. Race race race! Can also crew everything on it's own if need be.

Skywhaler's Shot/ Fragmentize/ Declaration in Stone - This is subjective to meta and can be flexible if you so choose (i.e. burn options in things like Galvanic Bombardment which works with the filtering or Harnessed Lightning. Value removal - Collective Effort/ Collective Defiance etc - lots of options that can be shifted and adjusted to fit the current meta but just consider any shifts this might make in color and the need to reflect that in the mana). For explanation on choices, Skywhaler hits pretty much everything we could be concerned with. Anything under 3 power shouldn't be a concern for us to be swinging in to. Otherwise it's flat out removal at instant speed which this meta is calling for. It also removes a lot of popular meta cards - especially Smuggler's Copter. Fragmentize is great in an artifact set like KLD. It hits most things we want to remove and I teeter back and forth over whether this should be x2. Declaration in Stone is still good removal. It may not be instant speed to keep up with the new pace of the meta but it still does a great job especially against any thopter/servo decks. The 3 options together cover a lot of ground for the deck and I have been happy with them so far.

Smuggler's Copter/ Renegade Freighter/ Fleetwheel Cruiser/ Skysovereign, Consul Flagship - Copter is just a flat out bomb and everyone is already talking about it so I won't spend the time to repeat it all. I just wish we had more. The freight train, cruiser and flagship are all great finishers and can punish planeswalkers when needed. All these cards are typically hard to remove and help give the deck some late game legs.

Gideon, Ally of Zendikar - always a power house and can win games on it's own. It produces pilots for crew and can buff for big swings as well as swing big itself. What's not to love?

Chandra, Torch of Defiance - The +1 which exiles is great for gaining advantage and as mentioned above, synergizes with scry effects. Her ultimate is game winning (it's on cast) and having an additional removal option is never a bad thing. If you decide to go the burn route for removal, her :r::r: +1 ability becomes a lot better.

Nahiri, the Harbinger - what a card! +1 synergy, -2 kill the whole KLD set, -8 for Cruiser or Flagship and win the game.

Needle Spires - do not overlook this. It fits quite well into aggro beats and can crew vehicles in a pinch.

I've settled on 24 lands with an even split. The filter/scry of the deck does allow the deck to be a bit greedier and could go to 23 lands but my confirmation bias always notices that I get punished when leaning one way with a mana color or reducing land counts. I'd much rather be playing lands to 4 or 5 mana and filtering for better threats than filtering for land and tossing gas. Having the even split also gives us a better chance of hitting the right color for a one drop start.

And there you have it! One beat down deck that can make a small transition into a mid-game without too much trouble. If you have any questions or comments, please let me know over in the Constructed Subforms and I'll do my best to discuss/address. It's up to us; the posting members, to clean up our subforms!

Otherwise, I hope you enjoy it!

Boros Kaladesh Equipments

Fast, low mana cost creatures that win games quickly. Toolcraft Exemplar and Inventor's Apprentice are two very welcome additions to the deck. Both gain awesome buffs from having your equipment artifacts out. This deck has performed surprisingly well, and rely shines against control and superfriends decks who require time to set up. The only issue I've had while piloting this deck is the mana base. I just can't seem to get the mana consistent and I'm constantly drawing too much of one color. I thought that Evolving Wilds would help with mana fixing but it's extremely slow in a deck that wants to be super fast. Any and all suggestions are much appreciated!

Creatures (23):
1x Kytheon, Hero of Akros
2x Toolcraft Exemplar
3x Expedition Envoy
3x Inventor's Apprentice
2x Relic Seeker
3x Lone Rider
3x Weapons Trainer
3x Iroas's Champion
3x Avacynian Missionaries

Sorcery (2):
2x Declaration in Stone

Enchantments (2):
2x Always Watching

Equipments (11):
4x Bone Saw
2x Stoneforge Masterwork
2x Skeleton Key
2x Slayer's Plate
1x Chitinous Cloak

Land (22):
6x Plains
3x Mountain
2x Needle Spires
2x Clifftop Retreat
2x Hanweir Battlements
3x Aether Hub
4x Evolving Wilds

Spoiler

The deck has been good but it's included several options that are 'side board' aspects to manage the pubs. I made a few adjustments to synergize and narrow focus. They changes are as follows:

+2x Abbot of Keral Keep
+1x Thopter Engineer
+1x Pia Nalaar
+3x Harnessed Lightning

-2x Speedway Fanatic
-2x Declaration in Stone
-1x Chandra, Torch of Defiance
-1x Skysovereign, Consul Flagship

Land adjustment 24->23
8x Plains
8x Mountain
2x Needle Spires
2x Clifftop Retreat
3x Aether Hub

I decided that Abbot was just a better fit in the deck as it can gain card advantage and help move through the deck along with Copter and Nahiri. It synergizes with the scry from Motorist and Whaleshot and can trigger off of the 14 non-creature spells giving it additional chances to do more damage than Speedway Fanatic. Since I'm losing some haste (and know that you should always run the whole suite), I added in the last Engineer. Pia is just too good so we need to add the 2nd copy. Even though Stone can still do work, Harnessed Lightning just answers too many problems at instant speed (just too important in the current meta). It also covers the gap for Whaleshot. I also added the Aether Hubs for Lightning to give it a bit more reach which in turn gives Lightning the chance to help mana. That gives a bit of mana flexibility allowing us to drop the 24th land especially since the only double costed cards are at 4 mana and we've removed some top end.

I do miss the boat though. It is such a fantastic card and even better with haste. We'll see how long it stays out of the build.

I couldn't do it and had to add back in the boat. It just wins games and is often tough to deal with. I swapped it for Kytheon but it could be fragmentize (which is side board normally but gives a lot of support on the ladder). So pilot's choice. Drop either Kytheon or fragmentize for the skyship.
