shouldnt it be 3 splinters 2 rites instead of 2 splinters 3rites?

Nope, that's intentional. Having a sac outlet online is extremely important, because that enables each of your treason effects as a spot removal. I've started with 2 rites and ended up wanting more. But I won't claim that's the only way to go, though. This game is not a precise science :V

No from beyond? No Jaddi Offshoot? no cruel revival? no bitter revelations/read the bones? no fatties for evolpea to actually ramp into?

Uh, "ramp hate" means it's not a ramp deck, it's a counter ramp deck. You probably misunderstood.

Card advantage is produced by sacking enemy creatures to evoleap and rites. And the Abominations, of course. There is no room for revelations/bones. This deck could use more creatures, not less.

This deck does most of its damage using the opponent's creatures and finishes with fliers. I don't think it's possible to add fatties without making some other important aspects worse.

From Beyond is something to consider. Not adding any eldrazi for it though.

OK, I repeat, there is no ramp in this deck. Not a single card. What Jaddi Offshoots? What evoleap ramp are you talking about? You want a ramp Jund deck, go ahead and build one :V

From Beyond is awesome, thanks babs. I've updated the list on the previous page.

Just had some pretty epic games vs Ramp and Selesnya Tokens.

Try THAT game without Reclamation Sage!

P.S. If you click the link to open a video on the Youtube site, you can set speed to 2x, which helps a lot with Duels videos. I only watch Legend on 2x :V

Your loss. Legend is a great player and has the best educational value of all Duels channels I know. It's not his fault that this game plays slowly and many people don't have a free hour to spend on a youtube video. But you can easily make it a half-hour; he speaks very clearly, so you can understand everything perfectly at 2x speed! Don't try that with Nighthawk233 :V

OK, here's the final version, thoroughly tested and doing satisfactory. This is a steal/sac control deck designed to punish ramp decks and other decks playing big creatures. It does have trouble vs weenie aggro occasionally, the result is a coin toss, all depends on how lucky or unlucky you get. I have around 50% win ratio vs aggro.

Ramp Hate

3 x Vampiric Rites
2 x Bone Splinters
4 x Perilous Myr
3 x Gatecreeper Vine
2 x Evolutionary Leap
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2 x Reclamation Sage
2 x Radiant Flames
4 x Act of Treason
2 x Smothering Abomination
1 x Akoum Firebird
2 x From Beyond
3 x Traitorous Instinct
2 x Brood Butcher
1 x Ob Nixilis Reignited
2 x Swamp
2 x Mountain
3 x Forest
2 x Cinder Glade
2 x Woodland Cemetery
2 x Rootbound Crag
2 x Dragonskull Summit
2 x Mortuary Mire
2 x Golgari Guildgate
4 x Evolving Wilds

I can't believe I've overlooked Smothering Abomination initially. Even though you can't sac stolen creatures to this guy, he's still amazing.

Edit: after Babassoonist suggestion, went +2 From Beyond -1 Reclamation Sage. From Beyond turned out to be pretty amazing here. After a lot of inner struggle, I decided to go -1 Smoldering Marsh to bring it back to 60 cards. Lands are usually fine, I just don't see what else I can cut. I almost died to not enough Reclamation Sages in one game vs token enchantments, so 2 is already borderline. I've only played a few games after this change, though, so if you feel there is not enough land, put the Smoldering Marsh back and cut one Vampric Rites.

This is a great deck! Had some epic games with it, including a win with the very last card of my library (Ob Nixis). I've seen Nissa, Evolving Wilds and even evolpea go *poof* because there was no target left (not only in that game) :)

I don't have all the cards, so I only run 1 Rites and no Firebird. I run two Woodland Wanderer instead and don't see them leaving the deck. Ever. There are games when I simply need that big body (of my own) that no other card provides. Smothering Abom is only really good with From Beyond active imo. Next best body comes from Nissa (both of her minus abilities, actually). Also, Rites 2 and 3 would be dead draws too often, I guess.

Thanks Yonder for that list, I've only played one game with it so far but it seems to be exactly what I've been looking for. Firebird was an mvp along with smother and all the sac synergy came together very well. Traitorous on a thopter won the game which felt really nice

So given that I've been loving the Golgari Aristocrats list to death, I figured I had to take this for a spin. I ran it against the AI for awhile and ended up making a couple quick alterations: -2 Elvish Visionary, +1 Nissa, +1 Ob Nixilis. I just wanted a couple more bombs. Time will tell whether that was dumb or not, but obviously I'm interested in any opinions.

Got in eight games against human opponents, went 7-1. The one loss was to a Golgari Elf deck that just had a ridiculous draw; there was no winning that game without Languish. That's not a recommendation to put Languish in the deck, for obvious reasons. The wins played out in a few different ways. I played a couple of games against a Dimir aggro-control deck that was semi-interesting. I tried to play the beatdown role in both, and almost didn't recover. What I found against that deck and the couple of control decks that I played against was that the games turned into grindfests every time, and the whole game turned on resolving and abusing the key spells. They were the usual suspects: EvoLeap, planeswalkers, and Smothering Abomination. Once I realized that my real goal in those matchups was just to set up a big Husk/Abomination turn rather than to play out my creatures quickly and apply pressure, the matchups fell into place. You mentioned in your Diaries post that the deck can play almost a combo role in some matchups, and I was surprised at how true I found that to be. More so than the strict Golgari version I've been playing, certainly.

Against aggro, things went more or less as expected. Block some early guys, Husk shows up, he eventually dies but buys enough time to get EvoLeap online or get Abomination out, win from there.

The one thing I'm still trying to decide is whether the red splash is worth it. Act of Treason is fantastic at times, but against the decks I played, it felt win-more. I'd have traded all of them for smoother mana and a couple boring old-fashioned creature removal spells despite the obvious synergy that Treason has with everything else. BUT: I didn't play against Ramp. That seems like the matchup where Treason would shine, so I'm not recommending dropping the red (at least not until I get a lot more games under my belt with this deck).

Thanks for posting the list, the Aristocrats decks are currently my favorite in the BFZ metagame. It's almost certainly not as good as Ramp, but it's so much more fun. I'll update with more thoughts if I have any new observations.

My conclusion is that this is just not a deck for casual players like myself. I started at rank 20 and went 5W - 10L. When you can set up the card draw engine you can win in a landslide. Unfortunately this is easier said than done. It is very easy to get color screwed, or to have your mana come in to play tapped and get behind on tempo. You are very susceptible to Moss, I got mossed 5 times in 15 games and I lost every time. You have no way to interact with enchantments, so usually if your opponent plays Spy Network you lose. You have no big bombs, so if you do not set up your draw engine quickly you lose. It requires a lot of anticipation to know what to mulligan and what to keep, and to know how to sequence your cards so you can set up your combo. The Treason cards were useful when I had the sac combo set up. Again, to be able to plan ahead and anticipate the sequence that will get you to the combo best requires a lot of skill. I know I suck, but I do not suck this bad. This deck is just too unforgiving for me.

Super fat mythic jund deck

Don't really know what else to call it. Packs a ton of punch, utility due to rare / mythic cards having cool abilities, blows up lands, puts planeswalkers on the board. Once it gets going it's pretty scary

Any input would be nice

3 Jaddi offshoot

2 Gatecreeper vine

1 Liliana, heretical healer
1 Nissa, vastwood seer
2 Radiant flames

1 Akoum firebird
3 Zendikar incarnate
2 Languish
2 From beyond
4 Mwonvuli acid-moss

2 Outland colossus
2 Chandra's ignition
1 Ob Nixilis reignited

1 Greenwarden of Murasa
1 Woodland bellower
1 Oblivion sower
3 Into the maw of hell

2 Gaea's revenge
1 Omnath, locus of rage

1 Ulamog, the ceaseless hunger

4 Swamp
5 Mountain
5 Forest
2 Smoldering marsh
2 Cinder gate
2 Woodland cemetary
2 Rootbound crag
2 Dragonskull summit

As much as I have been wanting Azban to be the home of my Reanimator list, it doesn't seem to be in the cards at this point. Thus, I give you the evolution of Evolpea:

The Evolpea Strikes Back!

3 x Gatecreeper Vine
4 x Elvish Visionary
1 x Shadows Of The Past
2 x Evolutionary Leap
3 x Rolling Thunder
3 x Pilgrim's Eye
1 x Liliana, Heretical Healer
3 x Fleshbag Marauder
1 x Nissa, Vastwood Seer
2 x Radiant Flames
2 x From Beyond
2 x Languish
4 x Mwonvuli Acid-Moss
1 x Ob Nixilis Reignited
1 x Greenwarden Of Murasa
1 x Oblivion Sower
1 x Omnath, Locus Of Rage
1 x Ulamog, The Ceaseless Hunger
4 x Swamp
3 x Mountain
5 x Forest
2 x Smoldering Marsh
2 x Cinder Glade
2 x Woodland Cemetery
2 x Mortuary Mire
4 x Evolving Wilds

Open to thoughts or ideas. Please let me know.

lockhammer agaist the decks that matter white removal is just better then both black and red. the only thing red has over white is radiant flames and meh, deck has enough chumps that the difference between turn 3 sweeper and turn 5 sweeper just doesn't matter

Trying to really get the Graveyard love to work again. Gonna keep testing. It will work with some color combo.

So I replied in Sultai, but now that I'm thinking about it more, it might try this as a deck that just splashes red for ignition only, keeping the GB elements mostly intact. So I'll try it and let you know how it went.

Also, big high five to you sir!
