Guys! Guys! I made a thing :V

Play defensive until you have 12-15+ energy, Fling, Pummeler and preferably a Dispel or Essence Flux if opponent has instant removal or counterspells. There's some fun alternate wincons too if we get unlucky and never draw the combo; I won one game by stealing Ulamog :evil:

Whir of Invention let's you play the kill at instant speed in Op's end phase without risking the Pummeler, and doubling your chances of getting it :takei: ...go Izzet, Hydras and Sages don't deserve the 3 coloring anyways, imo

I thought about it but then I'd have to cut some creatures and they fill pretty much the same role: get some energy and get in the way of aggro. The creatures have synergy with Essence Flux to reuse ETB and survive chump blocking or removal so I decided not to, not sure if it was the right call.

Hmm maybe I'll try the Whir but then I probably should cut the mages and I really like having a critical mass of creatures for getting in the way of aggro and such. Hydras are actually pretty awesome in this deck because you almost always have energy ready to go when you play them so instant removal can't kill them which can delay the game for a good few turns, opponents don't like attacking into a creature that can be pumped 10 times, Virtuoso works kind of the same way with discouraging attacks and they both work as alternate wincons or planeswalker killing if you really have to.

If you make an Izzet version of this I promise to try it tho!
