I faced henwen's dimir control list and thought since I have all the cards to work with that I would take a crack at making a grixis artifact control list and see how it performs. I have already made changes to the original list but here is the most current one. Let me know what you guys think :D.

Grixis Artifact Control:

1 x pyramid of the pantheon
2 x brain in a jar
3 x alchemist's vial
2 x tezzeret's touch
4 x metallic rebuke
2 x dynavolt tower
2 x artificer's epiphany
3 x unlicensed disintegration
2 x radiant flames
1 x saheeli rai
2 x thopter spy network
1 x tezzeret the schemer
2 x confirm suspicions
3 x reverse engineer
1 x torrential gearhulk
1 x noxious gearhulk
1 x herald of anguish

7 x island
3 x swamp
1 x mountain
2 x wandering fumarole
2 x sunken hollow
2 x smoldering marsh
2 x westvale abbey
1 x drowned catacomb
1 x sulfur falls
1 x dragonskull summit
2 x inventors' fair
1 x evolving wilds

Not sure that's enough artifacts to warrant Reverse Engineer over Glimmer.

First just a little counting:
Creatures: 2 tezzeret's touch at 3 mana, plus the 3 bombs
Artifacts: 6 at 2 CMC or less, + 2 towers + 2 bombs, confirm suspicions will provide plenty
Board removal: 3 murders, 2 board wipes, plus gearhulk and the demon
Counterspells - 6

So this is somewhere between "creatureless" control and an artifact synergy deck.

With only 6 artifacts the odds of getting off a turn 3 touch are less than stellar. You might have to wait a significantly longer time. And if you got a pyramid or brain, you might have already started pumping mana into them... even though they end up eating removal since they are vulnerable as creatures.
Thopter spy network is good here as a source of draw / infinite chump blockers because, crucially, it only needs one artifact. But unless you get a ton of spy network tokens going (which usually means you are winning) then some of the other synergy in the deck won't be doing much:
- Metallic rebuke - if you touch your only artifact and attack with it, this spell won't be getting discounts
- Tezz - with your build you will probably just get +1 / -1 on the turn you drop him, it is a great ability but you shouldn't rely on his +1 to protect him.
- reverse engineer - again having one artifact in play is not that helpful with this card.
Epiphany and disassembly both work with one artifact, but epiphany is weak compared to more current options, the damage from disassembly is rather meh in a slow deck like this.

It is also essentially a creatureless deck with a few bombs at the top. If you are going to go creatureless you mine as well pack in the board wipes. Without more creatures you mine as well pack in the full strength, black board wipes. BB may be too hard - BUT

Red seems quite forced here. You have the 3 murder/lightning bolt combos, but this isn't really an aggressive deck that is going to end up in race situations. You have the two board wipes, aside from being a little cheaper the black wipes would perform better (especially expertise). And the singleton Saheeli, who has nothing worthwhile to copy aside from your 6 mana bombs.

Glimmer and forced push are just really, really good.

For creatureless control, the 1BB sorcery that kills a planeswalker or creature is really, really good, and a zombie token is always nice. I also think that vanish/memory is rather important vs non-creature permaments. You need to keep the board clean and neutralize opponent's card advantage in order to give your own card advantage engines the chance to work.

I would write more but its my bedtime! I am also starting to narrow down what I want in my deck... if and when I finally unlock kaladesh lol.

And of course these comments are done without play experience since I haven't unlocked a lot of key cards.

Tezz is hiding in bottom 5% of aether revolt!

I feel ya there; I could afford the whole set on release using coins but opened 4 AER Mythics (both PWs and Heart of Kiran among them) in the last 4 packs.

Thanks for the replies guys I will run some tests tommorow with -2 artificer's epiphany, + 2 telling time, -3 reverse engineer,+ 3 glimmer of genius and see if that works out better for me. I will keep metallic rebuke for now and see how it runs off 8 artifacts. Great suggestions I will let you know more once I have a better idea of how the deck is performing with the changes. I will probably stream some matches tommorow.
