Ok so I have been messing with Gruul colors trying to build a different Aggro deck to change the beat of RDW.

This deck is pretty straightforward, It can hold its grown against other Aggro decks out there, the Sweltering suns have performed quite good on that regard, Brontodons are also a must to give the deck some edge on the Mid part of the game.

Khenra, Glory bringer, Phoenix and Burning Sun's Avatar always deliver and accumulate value through the game, same goes to the Vizier of the Menagerie, what a great engine for a heavy creature deck, I love him.

Fight with fire has worked a lot even against the control matchups but you really should not hold to it on the first part of the game, same goes to the Verix Bladewing, you just wanna hit your curve and take those Khenras out of the GY for a beatdown. I also put a couple Memorial to Unity and Multani for long games.

There´s a lot of evasion built in the deck to ensure that those swings connect.

I love how Explore lets you hit your curve while the Elves helps your ramp, combined you can make some aggressive plays and have some fun while at it

Gruul beatdown
4 x Llanowar Elves

4 x Earthshaker Khenra
2 x Merfolk Branchwalker

2 x Jadelight Ranger
2 x Thrashing Brontodon

2 x Verix Bladewing
2 x Rekindling Phoenix
1 x Vizier of the Menagerie

4 x Glorybringer

1 x Carnage Tyrant
1 x Burning Sun's Avatar
1 x Multani, Yavimaya's Avatar

3 x Fight with Fire
4 x Lightning Strike
2 x Sweltering Suns

7 x Mountain
6 x Forest
1 x Arch of Orazca
1 x Desert of the Fervent
1 x Desert of the Indomitable
2 x Hashep Oasis
2 x Timber Gorge
2 x Sheltered Thicket
1 x Ramunap Ruins
2 x Memorial to Unity

No ghalta?

Anyway, here's an idea: I've been throwing karn into most of my mid-range decks for extra draw and they've been doing some work. Could work here, even they seem out of place, but if your opponent isn't applying pressure, a T3 karn (with llanowars) can let you get way ahead of them.

Ghalta is a Win more card IMO, she was on the deck at some point, I guess I could swap Multani for her and see how she works now.

And Karn... I would love to put him here, but I have no copies of him... and all my MWC are gone... next MWC would become Karn for sure! that's exactly what the deck wants, more draw, then again Chandra would never forgive me...

Have you tried any other ramp suites? I like elves and explore but Grow from the ashes gives you the land untapped, and that's kinda cool, I tried Gift of Paradise also but those spells just messes with my curve... and in the end besides fight with fire is there any other juicy target for ramping?

Haven't invested in ramp much. Actually, I haven't invested in green at all.
There are plenty of bombs out there to ramp into, but I'd say the most fun you get from having lots of mana would be a big torment of hailfire.

Sandworm convergence is always a big pay-off too.
Jaya's immolating inferno?

I received 1 Merfolk Branchwalker , 1 Jadelight Ranger on rewards, I burned 2 WC to get 2 of each, the elves I got those from the daily wins -and there you got your T1- T2 T3 plays- That's what I like this about this thing, it lets you curve while building a board and ramping a bit.

This is what I think of Immolating inferno:
Immolating inferno + Fight with fire + Chandra + Jaya....

2 x Rekindling Phoenix
1 x Vizier of the Menagerie
1 x Karn, Scion of Urza

4 x Glorybringer
2 x Carnage Tyrant

1 x Field of Ruin
6 x Mountain

I got crushed 3 time in a row against gruul monsters (playing different decks though).
The bastard kept drawing back-to-back glorybringers every single game and when it was the only card I couldn't deal with that turn...

I saw glorybringers (full-set probably), verix (at least 2), phoenix (only saw 1 but could be more), the elf package, jadelights/branchwalkers, brontodons, earthshakers, magma sprays and abrade. So it didn't look like any it had any secret-tech, just damn god-like draws and consistency.

Yes it’s one of those deck’s, just consistent and powerful.
I’ve tried Samut, Abrade, and that 1cmc green spell that let’s you search the top 3 cards of your library.
Overall I liked Samut a lot but then you got to many 5+ spells and A full playset of Glorybringers is a Duels player wet dream.
I faced Giocher on the ladder today with it...-just after I swapped the sweltering suns for abrades- he was playing one absurdly consistent GW tokens deck -abrades!!- that wipe the floor with me twice. - I swapped in the suns right after but it was too late- swarm tactics is this deck kryptonite.
