This is really cute, and fun in commander.

This is really cool. It works really well with instant-speed flicker or bounce effects in response to the trigger. Fun fact: If you have a Ninja in hand, you can use ninjutsu in the combat damage step to bounce Etrata with her trigger on the stack.
Oh, if only there was a blue Flickerform.

Disappear is kind of like a blue Flickerform. Much more expensive, though.

I kinda dislike that the cool effect is only available if your opponent has creatures on the board and it is inviable as an alternate wincon againsy creature light decks.

4 mana 3 power unblockable. And the draw back is that it exiles creatures and provides an alt win con!?

It shuffles itself away though. It's like a kill spell with suspend 1 that also damages the opponent

Oh, I read it as only shuffling itself away after it makes a player lose. The way I read it, it was only really a drawback in multiplayer.

I'm amused that with a little night dealings and just a littlw more oomph, she can reappear very easily.

I think it will only shuffles itself away if it has a target to exile (when triggering). If your creatureless opponent ignores it for 3 hits it will at least do 9 damage.

Seems broken.

If the opponent only has tokens, this will shuffle itself but never make them lose.

If they have no creatures, it won't shuffle itself, but the unblockability isn't as useful

From Maro's Making Magic yesterday
"You can note the nod to multiplayer play as Etrata shuffles herself into the library with each hit. If this wasn't a legendary creature, and thus a commander, I don't think we would have included this line of text. This is definitely a push toward us hinting more at multiplayer formats in the rules text of a Standard-legal set."

This sounds like Maro is just making stuff up right? They wouldn't make a non-legendary unblockable creature that kills in 3 hits with no drawback right? Maybe he is suggesting that it would have cost more and have less toughness or something, but that still seems like a huge change just to keep it from being overpowered in a casual format that allows for some powerful cards.
Maybe he thought it only reshuffles when it kills a player?

Maybe he meant she'd get sacrificed instead?
Dunno.

Then you're hitting them for 3 damage every turn. ¯\\_(ツ)_/¯

Clearly you need to have a Leyline of Anticipation for you and give a Leyline of Anticipation to your opponent with Bazaar Trader after using Memnarch to change it to an artifact. Then, imprint Worst Fears on Panoptic Mirror then you activate Tempest Efreet cast Hive Mind and then cast Resurrection. Then activate Temporal Adept on your Hive Mind. Then you attack and exile the Tempest Efreet and repeat the necessary process 2 more times. Use appropriate measures to make sure the opponent can't disrupt anything you're doing obviously.

Now, you could just animate one of their permanents, but that relies on them playing permanents. This only relies on them having a deck and cards in hand. If they don't have a deck or cards in hand at the start of the match call the judge over for them having an inappropriate deck composition.
