Hey just saw the announcement of ultimate masters and it’s gonna be the last one for a while. Is that basicly saying you guys want to focus more on sets like conspiracy/battle bond or whatever you do for reprint sets?

All I can say is we have cool stuff coming in this space - very cool stuff.

Looks a lot like what a Mythic set should look like. Don't think I'll buy in at that price though.

Silver's price per gram - 0.47 $
An MTG card weighs 1.8 grams.
A booster contains 15 cards
Ultimate Masters booster costs 14 $
With some simple calculations, we can conclude that a gram of an average Ultimate Masters card costs you about 0.52 $.

WotC literally sells cardboard for higher price than silver.

Don't forget to subtract the weight of the wrapper. I mean, they sell that too, but it's not what people are trying to buy.

Ehh when the packs themselves are overpriced I think this won't do jack diddly squat. Especially when previous Masters Sets that were overpriced but not insane still have things like Cavern of Souls or Noble HIerarch where they are around or higher than original printing in price.

Agreed, though mostly because it gives me options to get old cards in modern frames.

Why would you want that?

Because old card frames and text style are ugly as sin?
(No objections to old Magic card art tho, it was often better than boring realism we get today.)

A solid argument.
Consider, however, the following rebuttal: "Yes, they were."

I don't need a more solid argument as it's not really a statement that deserves a dignified reply. There are degrees of wrong and thats about an 11 out of 10.

Just popping in to remind everyone to be civil. No flaming, no baiting, and lets be extra safe avoid unqualified statements, all right? Let's all stay polite so I don't have to poke my head in here again.
